You know chiropractic is good for spinal pain, but what if what you are experiencing is muscle pain? Can chiropractic help then? Research says yes – and almost instantly.
In a study published by in the Journal of Manipulative and Physiological Therapeutics, researchers set out to discover how long it took a chiropractic patient to receive the benefit of muscle pain relief. For purposes of their study, they used 36 adults and randomly assigned them to receive either true chiropractic or placebo treatment.
The participant’s pain thresholds were evaluated prior to the real and placebo treatment sessions, as well as at pre-defined intervals afterward, specifically, 1, 5, 10, and 15 minutes. The results concluded that the individuals who received genuine chiropractic care experienced immediate muscle pain relief.
This study confirms that chiropractic care can help ease muscle-related pain, allowing you to go about your daily activities without getting a twinge when you move a certain way or feeling downright pain when you participate in a particular activity.
